Camp Hi-Ho Pet Program!

In the Camp Hi-Ho pet barn, we always have wonderful kittens and puppies for campers to cuddle. They are a bundle of fun! All of our pets have had their first shots and have been wormed, thanks to Crestwood Veterinary Hospital's kind donation of vaccinations.

Adoptions

These precious babies are all in need of permanent homes, and each year, Camp Hi-Ho campers adopt over 50 terrific pets. Maybe this year is your year to add a new member to your household! These pets go home with their adoptive family on Fridays. There will be a $10 adoption fee to help offset any medical costs.

Pet-sitting

We also allow our pets to go home with campers for overnight pet-sitting. This assures that the pets will be well loved and cared for. This is done on a first come first serve basis, since we often have more willing pet-sitters than pets, and we sometimes have to limit families of campers to one pet in order to allow others to have a turn also. If we have more pets than sitters, we allow campers to have a second turn! Some of the pets sent home are already adopted. So if you are pet-sitting with the intention of adoption please confirm the pet's status. Pet food and kitty litter is provided for these overnight adventures. Our pets cannot be transported to the bus lot. They must be picked up and returned directly to the camp. Pick-up time is 2:45 p.m. Bring-back time is 9:30 a.m. To sign up for pet-sitting, please call the Pet Barn the morning of the day your camper wishes to pet-sit. (The telephone number will be available from your child's counselor.)

HELP! If you can help the Pet Program by donating some of the following items, we would be so very grateful! Just send them with your camper.

We look forward to seeing YOU in the Camp Hi-Ho Pet Barn this year!
